I agree with you re: some of their coffee drinks. Bottom line for me is that I object to drinking a café con leche, a cappuccino, etc. that is served
in a non-ceramic cup or a cold coffee drink that is not served in a glass tumbler. That is why I choose traditional local cafes here and in the States.
Next time you're in Starbucks, at the register, get one of their Starbucks cards. Then you can put a few thousand pesos on it (their eyes still open wide when you recharge with 2000 pesos, even though it's only like 8 US bucks). Then you don't have to carry cash, and every 82nd drink, you get a free one!
