It turns out that (in case you do not know) the city of Tandil (falling rocks in Spanish ?) is well know for producing the best Salami in Argentina. They just made the biggest chorizo.

Men with their chorizos in hands.

I go to Tandil every year, and I always buy lots of Salami.
They even have a map of Circuito de Salami, featuring all the best stores.

The Piedra Movediza; a bolder balancing atop one of the many crags toppled in 1912. The current rock is a replica.
People used to put bottles near the base of the bolder to observe the movements and see the bottles shatter when it shifted. Over time, that bottle trick eventually disturbed the balance and it fell. As that was a big tourist attraction; the township crafted a new static bolder that would take it's place.

Honestly, Tandil is one of the better places in Buenos Aires province and the salamin and cheese is great.
There's a tenador libre called Lo de Martin that's definitely worth braving the unusually long line-ups. Go early, besides the usual staples you can sample the local fiambres. ;)

The best thing about Tandil is that famous cheese store!

I guess you're talking about: "Epoca de Quesos".
I really recommend it. It's very nice place to have dinner and/or buy some "fiambres".

Is not cheap, but the atmosphere is amazing.
