The Letter Is The Pop....!! Cfk Tarzan's English Version.

She wrote a letter to the pope, its hilarious.
He wrote her back, assuring her he is, indeed, drinking lots of mate in Rome.
He kindly ignored some of her other comments.

but the link you are posting is about her conversation with Putin, in english, a language, evidently, neither of them speak.

I think this is a case of what Hakim Bey calls "Fortuitous Mistranslation", where the end result is actually better than it would have been if both actually DID speak english.

I'd place money on an ex KGB spy being fluent in English.

She's nuts. Literally. Blah Blah Blah.

Why- he was never stationed in the USA- he was a spy in East Germany. I am sure he speaks german. But in the conversation, as reported, anyway, he calls the Supreme Pontiff "the pop". That is not how we say it in english.

Believe Putin is fluent in English, with a Russianaccent , calling Francisco the Pop...!!

While they toured the Peterhof Summer Palace built by the Zars....!CFK tried to impress Putin with her knowledge of the Romanoffs dynasty , she claimed she was reading a book on the subject,

Putin a recalcitrant communist ex KGB agent must have admired the lavish populistic taste of the Zars?? However he helped restore the Palaces to the previous splendor.

Its actually spelled and pronounced Tsar. The closest thing phonetically would be " tse ". But im assuming you didnt know that as youre probably not a native russian speaker. ;)

In Putin's defense (and he does speak English and German ) the palaces are some damn fine works of art.
In February I was in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, and I gotta say, if I was the head of state
I'd be holding my international summits there too, or at least in Catherine's Palace in Pushkin.
