Has anyone been to the Teatro Nacional? Is it comfortable? How is the room temperature?

Sergio, I've been going for several years to the Met live broadcasts at Teatro Nacional. The seating is fine, the auditorium temperature usually okay. The only problem I have with Nacional is that the speaker system is somewhat dull, tending to be flat sounding, not spacious enough. The place could definitely do with a new sound system. But I won't complain too much since the Met does a truly great job with most of these live broadcasts.

We went to the last show, and totally enjoyed it. I do agree with Joe about the sound system, but that is not stopping us from going this Saturday. Our friend had a seat in the balcony, and said she wouldn't do that again, sound not loud enough.
And this performance promises to be very exciting ( I hope ).

Where can you buy tickets?

Go to the boxoffice at the Teatro Nacional...and go as soon as possible! Often enough, the good seats sell out fast. As Nancy said, stay away from the balcony! Ticket prices are reasonable, to be sure.

Thanks. I was womdering if the theatre is in good condition and kept at'A comfortable temperature. I find cinemas in BA invariably too warm.

Thanks I missed this when I last posted. I appreciate your feedback. These broadcasts are amazing.

Tickets are purchased at the box office on Corrientes at the Teatro Nacional
70-220 pesos

If you don't like the theater, there is another location on Santa Fe 1452 in Recoleta.
