Hi all,

I'm living in Microcentro, pretty close to Alem and thus Puerto Madero. There's a Chino near me. The Chino has a verduleria, but the prices are high.

Does anyone know a reasonable verduleria in the area?

Or has anyone else had to live in Microcentro and have a good strategy for grocery shopping?

Thanks

As my Chinese friends say, Alem long street. The green guy I use is on San Martin between Paraguay and Marcelo T. Beef and chix too. Small and sometimes closes for lunch.

I was there on Sunday and the prices didn't seem very nice to me. Any tips on a stand?

For me the prices seemed to improve when my spanish improved! I also made sure that the stand I used last time saw me at another ;-)

Once they saw me as a local, then I got a better deal and sometimes some freebies.

However, food prices are high everywhere right now but the quality in the market seemed better to me.
