I figured some expats would not be aware of this, it is Virgin´s Mary Immaculate Conception day.

I just found this out yesterday. I love how holidays pop up in this country.

What happens if it's ever proved that there wasn't an Immaculate Conception? Does the holiday stay or go?

Argentina just loves holidays -- and I certainly don't have a problem with that. But yes, I too was caught off guard.
