Have any of you ever taken the train from LGW to St,Pancras? I need to do that and then connect to Nottingham----it,s confusing if the price is included in the train fare to Nottm..thanx in advance, Howard:rolleyes:

Are you searching on thetrainline.com? Do you actually need to to call in at St Pancras? If you select the journey Gatwick > Nottingham from that website most journeys will involve a change of trains at St Pancras but you are ticketed all the way through. Depending on your dates and times and your ability to book specific trains you can buy the complete journey for around twenty quid.

It's really simple. Just put Gatwick Airport as your starting point and Nottingham as your destination in the search boxes (for example on thetrainline.com or https://www.buytickets.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/). Then you will get an all inclusive ticket. The cheapest advance single for tomorrow is £30 off peak.
That line had a lot of engineering works last year (basically every weekend) - check here for the date of your trip.
