Hi, I have a dollar-denominated account here and I’d like to transfer the dollars out of Argentina to an account in the USA. The source of the dollars is my registered income, and I’m looking for help because my bank charges hefty commissions for such transfers. If anyone knows of economical ways of doing this please let me know. I searched the forum but couldn’t find anything recent.

Depends on your definition of economical. What are the fees your bank is charging for outgoing wires?

Way I see it you have a triangle....

SECURE ----- CHEAP

You can only pick two.

Please see my recent comment on another thread regarding the options available virtually.

Otherwise, you can always meet up with another expat (or anyone with a US account) and trade Arg Dollars (via domestic transfer or cash) for US banked dollars which the other user transfers to your desired recipient via Zelle. This obviously depends on the quantity you have in mind.

Bank here charges a fixed fee of USD30-50 for transfers below USD1000 (depending on amount) or at least USD125 for transfers above USD1000 (percentage of amount).

Pixer, maybe we can help each other. I need to move dollars here. I could write checks that you could photograph and deposit into an account in the states.

That's what I was charged by BNA for an incoming wire from USA to Argentina. It may seem like a lot but it's not that much when you get into large transfer numbers.

You can always go the virtual route. But depending on the transfer amount the commissions can add up.

Saldo.com.ar is offering $95.15 for a $100 Arg USD to Paypal. So you are looking at a commission of 4.85%.

My math says amounts over $2,577 is where your virtual commission starts to exceed the international wire fee the bank charges. So it really depends on how much and how often you plan on doing transfers.

I need $500 USD that I transfer via Zelle in person clearly. I don’t know a cueva or person to help me with this. Some one please DM me. Legit recommendations only of course.

To Pixer and Dim Witty....Dim Witty sends dollars to Pixer account in States via Zelle. Pixer hands dollars here to Dim Witty. Magic.

You'll have to clarify that one. You want $500 USD in bills or you want $500 USD worth of pesos?

Another method is via crypto.

With cash USD, exchange that for USDT/BTC and send to your preferred exchanger in your home country.

Worked all the time for me.
