travel to argentina- would like to buy a motorbike

we are new to this site and was recommended it as we are looking to buy a motor bike.
me and my friend have a ticket booked to argentina and arrive in a week. we would like to buy a motobike, it doesnt matter how old it is but needs to be reliable. Also if any one has any tips for riding through south america, any info would be greatly appreciated
