Hi,

Since November, my American husband has been waiting for his Carta de Ciudadania/Citizenship through marriage (I'm Argentinean).
When we applied they gave us a file number and a website to check the progress.

We're going to be traveling abroad next month and I'm wondering if anybody here knows what should we show to migrations when we travel back to Argentina? Cause a screenshot of a website won't cut it I don't think. I'm afraid that they're going to tell him he overstayed his tourist visa and we don't have proof we're in the process of citizenship.

Does anybody know anything about this?

So you have your CCF case number and can track it on https://scw.pjn.gov.ar/scw/home.seam

I don't imagine you need screenshots, the information on the page I mentioned is in the public domain, anyone with the case number and year can check it directly, or the database is even searchable by name. I don't think Migraciones will be too challenged by this.

You could print out the last relevant document in your case history.

You applied for the citizenship in November? If so, your case will likely be resolved in November 2026, if not Austral Summer 2027, so you have nothing to worry about.

I have traveled abroad several times during the naturalization process for work and pleasure and didn't have any issues.
