This isn't specific to Argentina, but it affects the whole human race.
Tucker Carlson is back in Moscow, where he's just interviewed Sergei Lavrov, the Russian FM. The interview hasn't been published yet, but there's a brief announcement from Carlson himself, in which he talks about the seriousness of the situation, that you can watch now at -

When the page loads, just scroll down a bit and you'll see it. You do not have to join anything or pay anything.

If you're not worried about this situation, you don't understand the seriousness of it. This is for real, Cuban Missile Crisis real. Scary.

Has to go back to his masters to get new instructions and ensure his loyalty to them.

He's a journalist, doing journalism. You know, go there, look around, talk to people, and report back to the American people on what he saw and heard.

Would that be the kind of journalist who lies? Who knows he lies? Who, because he knows he lies, costs his then-employer $787million for his lies?

The answer to your third question is - I don't know,
The answer to the first two questions is - Is there any other kind?

I don't think an investigative journalist can lie in principle, unless he explicitly positions himself as an expert or an eyewitness. He simply presents the views of others, curated by the network. In the voting machines case, Carlson was not even named as a defendant.

Sensationalism and editorial biases often take precedence, and this applies to any major news network. Do you trust the people at CNN or the BBC more? I don't.

Very well said, redlobster. I never understood the logic of "NO NO NO! You can't talk to them! YOU CAN'T TALK TO THEM! Traitor! Russian asset, spy, traitor, traitor, TRAITOR!"

He's a journalist like Jack in the Box is fine dining.

Certainly there are many topics on which I disagree with his stated opinions. When he was down here fawning over Milei, I could have gladly puked on his shoes. I mean, he's living comfortably in the USA, rolling in money, while we are struggling to pay the rent, feed ourselves, and keep the lights on, and he is lauding the author of our miseries. Yes, I hated his guts in that moment.

BUT, he has the nerve to venture into the Lion's Den and interview Putin and Lavrov. I am very interested to hear what Lavrov has to say. He is quite possibly the most experienced senior diplomat in the world today, in an age when very senior posts of diplomacy are filled by kak-handed amateurs like Kaja Kallas.
