Uk Resident Saying Hello

Hi, I am a UK resident hoping for a kind soul to help me out with some local information in the hope I can locate a stockist for an item not available over here. Nothing dubious I hasten to add. Will round up my information and post somewhere suitable - if this sort of request is frowned on/looked on as outside proper use of the forum, I hope someone will tell me. Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't explain well - I am a permanent UK resident, not a potential expat - posting here as a means of hopefully finding someone who can help out with my query. I should have made that plainer. I realise it's maybe a bit cheeky to join & ask for help on those grounds, but it seemed a sort of good idea to make contact with 'real' people on the spot in Buenos Aires as I have drawn a blank elsewhere. Maybe I'd be similarly of help in the future to someone in reverse (if that makes sense!).
