Have read some good reviews of this Classic Palermo Parrilla . Well here is an update 09/14/24.Lunch
Very attractive space frequented mostly foreign tourists
The quality of the Bife de Chorizo was great at $29.900 pesos, the Chorizo normal, the french fries excellent $7000 pesos. Service charge $2500 per person.
Ah, the wine list for Malbecs starts at $20.000 pesos/bottle and up . We ordered the first choice , the waitress came back to report that the first 5 wines listed (least expensive) were not available ! Wine by the Glass $9500..!!

So, 1 Bife de Chorizo, 1 Chorizo , 1 Order of fries , 1 Bottle of Cabernet, plus 2 Service Charge: Totals $34 K per person plus tip.

It's a long time since I've been to Lo de Jesus, it's certainly more touristy, and I think people who can't get into La Cabrera or Don Julio use it as a backup option. If you like classic parrilla, you could try these in the Villa Urquiza / Villa Ortuzar area, just off Av. de los Incas:

Lo de Charly, open 24 hours, mostly outdoor seating, https://www.parrillalodecharly.com/
El Boliche de Nico, with people queueing in the evenings, https://elbolichedenico.com.ar/

Not too far away, on Av. Alvarez Thomas, is a very well known pizzeria, La Mezzetta, for traditional Buenos Aires pizza. We haven't been, there tend to be long queues to order from the hole in the wall, and only limited seating.

And drinks, before or after, are a must at Verraka on Av. Donado.

I don't think too many tourists will make it that far out.

Foreign tourists, like ants following each other's chemical trails, follow each other's restaurant recommendations on Tripadvisor. As do expats following the often comical reviews from International Living's, 'best places to live abroad' recommendations, which has ruined many nice places like Cuenca, Ecuador. Restaurants and locations off the beaten path seem to be the best and are best kept as secrets. English not spoken.
