Given the deep hole that the neo-cons dug, and the necessity of a stimulus (though it was inadequate), this is a pretty good showing. But for the obstructionists - whose recent shutdown added yet another $24 billion to the bill - things would look even better.

Really? Are petty partisan politics related to fiscal policy in the USA something that effect the daily lives of Buenos Aires Expats and therefore should be a topic of interest or discussion in a forum titled Expat Life?

Can we please please oh pretty please have a "US Politics" thread where the great and the good can have at it, leaving the rest of us who do actually live here (Good Morning California...) to enjoy our fruitless searches for cranberries, jalapeno peppers, fancy mobiles and clothes that don't fall apart on the second wash.
