This whole time I forgot to mention.... If you like spicy food AR is not the place for you.

There is plenty of spicy food here now. There are lots of Indian , Vietnamese, Thai , Peruvian and Mexican places now. You can go to Barrio Chino and find hot sauces and chili peppers. And there are some decent hot sauces being made right here in Argentina. My favorite taco place makes a really hot salsa.

Oh, and by the way, on topic for the OP. Come and live here 6-14 months, then you will have your answer. All the other advice will just end up approximating and advising based on a set of variables and interpretations which probably will all be different by the time you are able to travel anyway.

From what you've posted so far, I think you'll be adaptable enough to enjoy it. But ya, this is really a 'try before you buy' situation.
