It helps to understand Trump's mindset when you realize that Trump first and foremost is a commercial Brand and not some 4D chess playing master politician. He has his own Twitter app, shitcoin, trading cards and soon to be cell phone company. MAGA to him is simply a fanatic consumer base like Dodger/BOCA fans. There are pictures of Trump literally showing and gifting MAGA memorabilia to other presidents and he loves to host political events at his golf courses to enhance his brand.
He likes Milei and Bolsonaro because of what they represent to his political consumer base. Loud, right wing anti-deepstate/swamp politicians for him to name-drop as his Brand affiliates. This is no different than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wearing a Che Guevara shirt.
From an advertising business perspective, all of Trump's decisions are on-point much like The Kardashians, Pampita and any other high drama brand valued name.
Trump does give the illusion of a coherent plan in the sense that he distills the desires/fears of his consumer base, much like Bruce Springsteen sang about factory jobs and the hollowing out of American industry. It sells a lot of stuff. But beyond that, there really is no overarching geo-political playbook IMO. Once his term is over, tarriffs will be cancelled with much hoorah and the world will continue. Trump will write his own book and continue to captivate the MAGA crown pining for the "good-old days" when black people were segregated and women were laughed at for being anything other than secretary.
