I have used it in the past to find Spanish teachers but never to purchase goods. I have been trying to use Craigslist to purchase a few items but it is rare that I get a response for my requests. Is this common here or in general with Craigslist?

Thanks

John

I bought a dining room table on Craigslist, then sold an old iPod. Had no problems. However it is not as popular as in the states.

It has worked for me too, but is definitely not as popular. MercadoLibre is much more popular...

OLX (http://www.olx.com/) is another good option. I think more Argentinians visit it than craigslist. I listed my computer on baexpats, craigslist, mercadolibre and olx and it ended up selling through olx. The great thing about that was that I didn't have to pay any fees to anyone else, like you would if you used mercadolibre.

Thanks Sara
That really is a bonus! I mean no commission on OLX.
I buy and sell on ML and have been doing so since 2005. The comm is way OTT!
Cheers for that.

Anyone know what classified or job site is most popular in Uruguay? I'm looking to hire a freelancer out of Uruguay, but not sure the best site to use. Thanks.
