Using Discover Card in Buenos Aires

I have been using my Discover card to pay my Uber rides...just to keep it alive. I checked this morning and Discover converted my dollars at 1354 pesos. I wish I could use it more here in Buenos Aires.

You should try it, a lot of the POS processors accept it without advertising they do, and apparently you can even withdraw money at Banelco ATMs, which is supported by Prisma, so it's very possible Prisma POS' could take your card too (they're green and white IIRC; again, worth trying, if it works, great, if not, use your Argentine card)

Discover is so difficult to use in Argentina, so far only found one Chinese pharmacy one Venezuelan restaurant in BA accept it.
One of my visa credit card was cancelled by bank due to extensive abroad usage....when it just over six months..
The only credit card in practicality I have is capital one master card and hopefully they won't shut it down like the other....

Capital one has very tecently switched all their cards' platforms to Discover. I cannot find any place where I can use Discover as it is not accepted as far as I know. I really don't know what to do as I live in B.A.

Chase! They're global; zero issues world wide and a very sound anti-fraud unit.

I just received a new Capital One debit card, and it’s branded as Discover.
I hope it will work with Western Union here.
