Hi all, I just moved to Villa Crespo, and I was wondering if anyone has any neighborhood recommendations.

This post on Pick Up The Fork has been a great resource, but I'm looking for some new place to try. Also welcome: any suggestions for verluderías, bars, bookstores, cultural centers, and whatever else it is that you like about the neighborhood.

You must try Salgado Alimentos, they some of the best pastas in town!

Allie covers a lot of the good eats in the area in her article (although I think a couple no longer exist). I'm still fairly new to the VC area so still trying to find one "go to" verludería that carries everything i want - there are a number on Malabia I have tried so far but they seem hit or miss. Have had good experience with the lavanderia at Castillo and Uriarte if that's in your area. Have to confess though that I cross the border for my coffee beans (Full City) and bread
