I'm from Austin, Texas, and my friend and I are looking for fun things to do in Buenos Aires. We rented an apartment in Palermo. We are looking for a decent gym in the neighborhood and ladies running group. Also does anyone know of any upcoming fun, social activities? - Jennifer

Every monday night at a venue called "konex" they have orchestrated drumming usuallly with some invited guest lots of tourists and locals, well worth a look.
NB: not many people stand around watching, it´s very interactive

I think the cover is 30 pesos. It's a GREAT time. LandingPadBA.com normally has weekly listings of what's going on in town! The gyms here are kind of lame/small. There is one in Palermo Soho on Niceto Vega between Gurruchaga and Serrano that a lot of my friends go to. I think it's also 30 pesos for a day pass. When are you arriving?!
