Volunteer Opportunities?

I'm looking to volunteer and learn spanish in Buenos Aires and there seem to be a number of agencies that provide both to expats. Does anyone have any experience with volunteer organizations and/or have recommendations for finding the right program? I'll be arriving in Buenos Aires this week and looking to volunteer/learn spanish starting in early - mid March.

A recommendation would depend upon what sort of help you'd like to give. You may wish to search this forum, as several threads within the past year have treated volunteering in and around the Capital Federal.

I just volunteered last week with "L.I.F.E. Argentina" and had a very good experience. They have multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the week and on weekends.

You just have to pay 20 pesos for a tee-shirt so that the community knows you're with L.I.F.E and you pay for your transportation costs which is 22 pesos round trip.
