As was said back when this thread started, any local jeweller or watch seller will be able to do this for you. In my part of the city, (forty minutes by bus on route 108 from where you are) Joyeria y Relojeria Kronos at Cuenca 3233 changes my watch batteries for me.

Thanks for the tips - got the battery done down on posadas...they needed 2 days but all was professionally handled!
