Website creation

I am looking to create a new website, very simple, a blog type site where people can leave comments, post their stories, kind of like this site:

www.complaintsboard.com

Would launch site and then try to get some sponsors. These types of sites can be very profitable aside from being just what the unprotected consumers of Argentina need to get some justice from the unscrupulous businesses here.

The site will be:
www.escrachados.com (I've already reserved the domain name)

What are you actually asking - someone to create for you or what to use..

If its what to use i would go for wordpress, and either make yourself a theme or buy/download one.. There is lots of free themes out there, and lots of help forums etc..

Advertising and offering some type of mediation services. There is nothing like it here in Argentina.

yeah wordpress could work for this, there are multiple "submit content" style plugins for it.

you would need a lot of traffic to make it worth your while though.

yeah, true, and after the last eye-opening experience you posted about (your personal responsibility for the earthquake device) I guess you could even do it for the fun of it.

What about other solid complaint sites like www.419eater.com, www.419baiter.com, etc?

I actually thought of a mediation service but of course it would have to be on a tip/donation basis, otherwise it would defeat its purpose.

What about a simple blacklist for shady apartment rentals, agents and plumbers? (and a corresponding goldenlist for their counterparts?)

I didn't know about the 419 sites, thanks for filling me in. The premier site of this kind is www.ripoffreport.com, however it's been blocked in Argentina. I posted derog info regarding Mauricio Macri and some of his official cronies (after I suffered a bribe situation by city inspectors) on the site, and mysteriously a short time later it couldn't be accessed here from Argentina anymore.

The blacklist idea is what I am after. The awful things that go on with businesses ripping off people and shoddy work here have to be exposed and put out in front of the eyes of everyone so that people are obligated to act and conduct business more responsibly. Even if things improve just 1% that would be BIG improvement.

The reason why things are the way they are here is because there are NO consequences for poor behavior.

Hi sinagua980 - Im PHP programmer and have desing knowledges too with another languajes like JS, CSS5, etc. I may say Im still junior programmer or close to SSR, but growing up almost every day. I would like to have a chanse, I know I have a large potencial and good experience with other languajes like C++ since few years ago.
