Western Union

I sent money to a friend in BA
and Western Union in Recoleta refuses to give it
to him because i did not write his second name
I gave his first and last, and all info is correct
including tracking number,

They told him
"Oh yes in the US they don't care about the middle names
but here
in the Third World we do".

Any similar experiences?

Yes,I had a similar problem with XOOM once, just changed the branch for one in a suburb like Liniers,etc.

Yes, had this problem in Argenper through Azimo and Smallworld. I knew the people working enough by now that they let it slide, although the whole thing is getting tighter these days. Cancel the transaction and do it again, should all take a couple of days at the most.

I called WesternUnion and added his middle name
the tracking number remained the same.
He was able to get the money today!
