Yesterday, 10/05, while peddling my bicycle around Palermo Someplace, I came upon a fast food take out - take away joint. It was at the corner of (Jose A) Cabrera y Malabria. There didn't seem to be a name of the place on the outside and I didn't see a menu. There was no seating; interior o exterior. I couldn't figure out what kind of food was sold. (I ain't no gourmet). It was mobbed with hungry folk. Please tell me about this place.

I used to live round the corner from there - it's and Armenian Deli. On (I think) Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays lunchtime they do takeaway shawarma or falafel wraps, rest of the time they sell empandas arabe, spices, nuts, houmous, yoghurt, cheese etc. Very tasty and it was always busy on the weekend.

Was it around noon? That's when the shawarmas are in! It's good stuff and the falafel is not dry like it is in most places. You should try it.
