I do like Dara O'brien!

But your view is similar to the governments protectionist ideas here, restrict the opposition...

Not sure he's on the same level as Stephen Fry. But thats quite a different comparison.

Stephen Fry is an institution, not so sold on Mr Bean though. My favourite Irish comedian, in fact favourite comedian is Dylan Moran.

Taking the piss out of ourselves comes naturally and so does running down our own country.

If there is one thing I don't like about the UK is the constant self bashing. (Kinda sounds rude I know)
I think there is a balance between taking the piss out of ones self and the self hatred of papers like the Guardian.

dara who makes his living in the uk... i would still class his humour as British.

Looks like my UK clients are insisting I go back there and show up on the basis that if they have to be miserable and are paying me then I should be cold and miserable too and certainly not getting a sight of any sun before the end of May.

I dont see anything funny in what the Grauniad has written - it is all true. We dont pay good money for a newspaper to tell us the truth. None of the others do. These refugees from Manchester should concentrate on getting their spelling right

AND Im going to have to tone down the suntan or there will be more grief. How about talc powder?

Or toothpaste mixed up into an um .. paste .. and applied as whitening?

Any one got any helpful suggestions that I can take on the plane and apply before landing in god forsaken Heathrow ........ that is if there isnt the threat of snow within 500 miles in the next six weeks in which case we will never land and just keep circling over Epsom Downs until ? Derby Day
