Whats the cost to move into an apartment these days? Rent 650,000

Honestly, finding an apartment in Argentina is a bit of a pain. I think most (not all!) people here would agree with that. I can share my experience in case it helps.
I’ve been moving from Airbnb to Airbnb across different parts of the country for about 6 months, I don't have DNI too. Two months ago, I finally ended up in Salta, mainly because I managed to find a decent, affordable furnished place.
At one point, I had a gap between my Airbnb stays and spent a few days in a small hotel in Salta. The woman managing it was incredibly kind, so I asked her if she knew anyone renting an apartment. She offered to post on my behalf in local Facebook groups, and about a week later I started getting messages on WhatsApp with offers.
Out of maybe 7 offers, 6 were… not great. But one turned out to be the place I’m living in now.
So yeah, if you have Facebook (yes, people without social media still exist 😄), I’d definitely recommend checking local rental groups. They’re usually in Spanish and specific to each city, but that’s probably one of the most effective ways.
Airbnb, in my experience, has been very hit-or-miss. I’ve messaged a lot of hosts and never heard back from many of them, so it feels like quite many listings are inactive.
So I totally get the struggle. From what I’ve seen, word of mouth works best, and Facebook groups are probably the next best option.
Good luck! Hope you find something decent.
Thanks, my plan is to kind of ride the Airbnb train and pay a little bit more money in my neighborhood, until I find the perfect place. It's just kind of ironic how Airbnb is more in Monte Grande than it is in the city center. Mainly because there are a few options. Anyway, thanks for your input and feedback. Much appreciated!

The option of 2 year rental unfurnished is most times not available for expats without residence and mortgage insurance under Notary Public

As Rich One mentioned...long term unfurnished rentals are not for visitors. The honest truth is you are about the worst candidate a landlord could hope for. You have no income down here to garnish in the event of unpaid rent, you have no legal status against which to pursue potential property damages in court, and you have no guarantors residing in the country to co-sign your lease.

To put this in perspective, if I came to the US on a tourist visa from Bangladesh with the legal equivalent of a temporary refugee status, with no credit history, no W2, and bank statements written in Bengali proving I made 1,000,000 Takas from my foreign employer, the apartment manager would kindly tell me to kick rocks and stay in a hotel.

The only method that I have seen that works with expats in your situation is paying in dollars an absurd amount of rent in advance and no formal contract to essentially put all the landlord's risks onto you. Which means, you stand the risk of losing all your money and can be evicted at any time. If the property becomes unlivable due to lack of maintenance, contains hazard, or god forbid has seriously injured you, you have no formal recourse or means to collect your advanced rent. The owner could change the locks, move in his sister, and feign ignorance of your verbal agreement and there's little you could do about it. AirBnB is the best solution for your needs and the least risky until you appropriately establish the qualifications and legal status to rent locally.
