Does anyone know where I can find fresh and GOOD fruit. If organic its better...

Go off Paraguay between Godoy Cruz and Juan B Justo. Great Fruit and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!!

Hard to answer a question without knowing where you are or where you've been looking so far. GSI's suggestion is where they sell produce for the restaurants, etc., and it is super cheap. Otherwise your best best for fruits and veggies is to never buy at the supermarkets (quality is either notoriously low, prices high, or both!) and instead buy from the verdulerias (the little stands that have the fruit crates piled high) and are frequently run by Bolivian or Peruvian families. These verdulerias dot nearly all neighborhoods with their nondescript, fruity storefronts. They tend to stock all the seasonal fruits and veggies and should be high quality--depending on your neighborhood they should also be relatively inexpensive ranging to cheap!

Organic is harder to come by in general in Argentina but you can order from:

or

There's also El Galpon in Chacaritas. Their site is down, but here is some information:

Good luck and enjoy the fruits of your labor (har har).

Just walk a few blocks in a residential area and you will come across a vendor selling fruit. A lot of expats complain that the fruit from these places is bad and it doesn't stay fresh for long but I've never had any problem with the fruit from these places. These will also be cheaper than going to Jumbo or Carrefour.

The fact that fruit doesn't last long is the advantage. That's what makes it "good". If you are used to the magical US fruit and vegetables that last a week, then you're out of luck. Because if you are used to buying organic fruits in the US, you know you have only 1-2 days to eat it. And note you don't have to go to anyplace expensive for that quality. As va2ba just posted, it's good pretty much anywhere. But like every place, at times things look a bit banged up or wilted.
