Hi everyone,
Thanks for those who came out to see our band last month! We are going to schedule more shows for 2025 but wondering if any of you are big music fans (original music) and where you like to go out to see bands in Buenos Aires (or truly anywhere in Argentina and Uruguay). Our band does original songs I've written that are in a folk/pop/funk/reggae genre that we're calling folk fusion. Thanks in advance for your advice and hope to see you at one of our shows soon!

(Here's our instagram in case you want to check us out...our next show is the 24th in Gualeguaychú for anyone who feels like coming out to Entre Rios: Nica and The Waves )

You mean English language music?

I go to many places for music but don't really care what language the lyrics are in (if any)

I imagine that people living here don't much care what the language is of the music they're hearing but since I don't live in Buenos Aires, I'm wondering if you do go hear music, are there any venues you go to where you have heard music being sung and played in English? Especially original music? And if you've never paid attention to that, the question becomes, what are your favorite places to hear music in BA and why?

I frequent many jazz and rock bars, such as the Strummer Bar, Salon Pueyreddon, Virasoro and Borges. But there's too many to name really. Strummer is my favorite because of the casual entry, the room and vibe, the fact that it draws almost only locals, and their programming is pretty on point.

I also run a music group, for those interested these are the recommendations I give in there:

It would be nice if there was a single place to go for all the schedules in one. Maybe after I finish my current gig I'll look into that.

Amazing!!! Thank you so much!!! I knew about only three of these so this helps a ton. Hope you will come out and catch our set someday since clearly you are a music lover! (Are you also a musician?)

Also, what is the music group you run? Is it this indiehoy.com? Do you only publish big acts there or would you mention upcoming shows we have as well? Our next one is at a beautiful outdoor venue near the river in Gualeguaychú on the 24th. Doors open at 7pm and opening act starts at 7:30pm. We will start around 8:15...
