I need to send money monthly to my local Argentine bank account to fulfill my Rentista Visa.

I see that Galacia charges $100 for >$1,000USD, Banco Cuidad $68, Santander $78...

These are all outrageous fees. Which bank here charge reasonable fees?

You don't wire you send using Western Union from your US bank through Western Union to your Argentina bank....it is totally allowed to do that for immigration. The bank charges zero to receive a Western Union.

I use xoom. It charges about $3.00 for bank deposits. It varies depending on the amount. If you transfer more than $300 U$D then there’s no transfer fee. FYI., I don’t have a rentista VISA.

Xoom is good but you need to look at both the fee and the exchange rate given of course

I am trying to verify what is required for incoming transfers for migraciones, but I can't determine whether it has to go through the SWIFT system or not. I want to make sure it's ok to use WU, XOOM, Wise, etc. before I make these monthly payments.

Can you elaborate further on how immigration is ok with these third party middlemen before it hits my Argentine account?

My attorney, Gabriel Celano has had me deposit using a transfer company since this requirement began in June of 2023. I never have used a wire transfer. I have twice been approved by immigration using this method only. I am in my third temporary residency. Contact me by pm if you prefer and we can chat on a phone call. I can also point you to friends doing the exact same thing as I am for temporary residency approval.
