Donald Trump has proposed a very detailed tax plan — but his statements on the campaign trail don't always match what his proposal would really do.

Tax plans, may not affect Donald's salary he will receive US$1 per year as President..!

I am guessing that this is the first of many campaign promises that will be broken. Let's hope that some of the broken promises involve his stand on racism, bigotry, sexism, etc.

I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't hold my breath for anything concerning this jackass. With Bannon in the WH, it's all downhill. Just imagine the forthcoming cabinet appointments.... Sad, sad, sad.

Trump will not write a tax plan.
He can make suggestions to congress- but they write the bill, and send it to him, at which point he can either sign or veto.

So the real question is- which of Trumps ideas align with ideas that a majority in congress like.
Most likely his getting rid of the estate tax will fly- lots of sympathy in congress for couples who have more than 10.8 million in assets (the current amount you get to pass on, tax free, before taxes start to apply.,
Most likely, some, but not all, of his tax cuts for rich people will get imposed, including lower taxes on capital gains and unearned income.

But some of his ideas are just PR, and will never happen.

He is lazy enough, and has made enough enemies, that the long months of negotiation needed to build consensus in congress are probably beyond him, and most of his appointees are not interested in working that hard.
