There didnt seem to be any budget for repairs and maintenace to some sectors of the Casa Rosada.

Olivos was also in poor condition apparently.

On the night of the museums we went through a small ministry of culture office. The had a display at the front and the front of the building was beautiful. Not sure why but they took us on a tour round the whole place though, the back was falling apart. Full of K propaganda with cigarette stains everywhere.

Can't repair stuff when you're busy embezzling funds...

Looks to me like they wanted to make sure there was no evidence of anything left. Crooks tend to stash things all over the place and every nook and cranny. I am sure the Queen was not even able to keep track of what those around her might have been doing. Better to strip the place bear and make sure you get anything and everything that might be there that should be there out.
