I drink wine from my Chino on a daily basis. Never had any stomach problems. Never bought an off bottle. I drink wine that tastes good to me. More expensive does not make it better.
Gosh! That brings back some memories!
Rio Gallegos, 2002, pesos were three for a dollar and a tetabrick of vino tinto cost ninety-nine centavos.
The wine was horrible but at thirty-three American cents for a litre....
I’ve never had any problem with counterfeit wine in chinos. We’ve bought some decent bottles too, usually costing about a third less than other markets. Sometimes the bottles are a bit warm. I had heard they can offer wine more cheaply because they have a loophole on taxes...or is that just an ancient rumor?
