Yerba mate - where do you buy it

Looking for a good quality, loose leaves as well as (sacrilege ;-) tea bag style.
Preferably with only little of carcinogenic Benzo(a)pyrene )

I think you are looking for mate cocido. I like Cruz de Malta brand, sold at most supermarkets. I am not sure about the great quality of the leaves, but it tastes good.

I second Cruz de Malta -- Teragui is like burning a hole in your stomach....


If you go to any supermarket or chino you will find a whole row dedicated to the stuff, with all the brands available.

Dieteticas may carry a few lesser known

Natural Deli perhaps has some other brands I'm unaware of.
