I work for a number of institutes and make between $55-$45 ph. I also have private classes and charge $75. I have less than 6 months teaching experience but have a TEFL. Dont work for less than $45!

Hello all, Does anyone know how you go about extending your visa for another 3 months without having to go to Uruguay? I heard you can go somewhere in BA and get the three month stamp extended for a further 3 months. How long does this take and it is worth doing compared to going to Uruguay...

It is possible to survive teaching English. A newly qualified teacher earns 45-55. Bar jobs pay less - I know people who work for 8 pesos an hour.

Hello all, Medellin doesnt seem to have an expats website but I was wondering if anyone has lived there and/or taught english there? Its meant to be really lovely and wage/cost-of-living is more bearable. I am tempted to make the move. JM
