You also have to look at state taxes, depending on which state you are from. For example, if you're from California and have a CA bank account, even if you live abroad, you still need to pay California taxes regardless of what you pay or don't pay to the IRS.

In my opinion, Uber doesn't seem to have respect for anyone or anything. They think they're above laws and regulations anywhere in the world. They sabotage competitors. They don't take customer privacy seriously.

My two cents: I take a taxi at least once a week. 99% of the time I can hail a cab in 60 seconds (granted, I spend most of my time in Palermo). I've also never had a problem with a driver. Personally, I don't see the need for Uber here right now. Plus, I don't like the way Uber does business.
