    Argentine Version of GoFundMe?

Hi Expats! I'm of Argentine background, but have lived abroad for most of my life. I have a family member in the GBA that has had a myriad of health issues and is in a very tough position. Without going into details, I thought of trying to raise funds to help her with some specific things, but...

    Pushy Argentinian therapists

That's annoying! But I don't think that's typical of most therapists there. I know other people that were in therapy -even psychoanalytic- and went once a week too. Not that many people can afford to go to therapy multiple times per week nowadays --even if you're paying Argentina's rates.

Where to exchange dollars at the blue rate near Recoleta/Plaza San Martin

Hi. Thanks for answering! I did suggest calle Florida to them, but I'm always paranoid though about getting scammed (or mugged) following one of those guys (I'm a chicken!). Is there a store or spot that you've used before and would recommend?

    Pushy Argentinian therapists

Were they both psychoanalytic therapists? Psychoanalytic therapists usually do require to see patients a few times per week. I personally don't care for psychoanalysis and prefer other forms of psychotherapy, but there are a lot of Freudian psychologists in Argentina! The non-Freudian...

Where to exchange dollars at the blue rate near Recoleta/Plaza San Martin

Hi! I have clients visiting BA this weekend and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a safe place to exchange US dollars for pesos at the blue rate. They're going to be in the Recoleta/Plaza San Martin/Catalinas area. And do shops in those areas accept payments in U.S. dollars? I haven't been...

    Hairdresser that speaks English?

Hi Vilma, I'm not sure how good he's cutting short hair, but there's this guy named "Guy" that works at the Roberto Giordano salon in Alto Palermo (and at the Guemes location too I think). Guy lived/worked in NY and I really liked the way he cut my hair (long layers). He has also cut my friends'...

    Re: Alergias

Hi. I've been having problems with allergies too and I just started taking "levocetirizina diclorhidrato 5 mg." This is the next generation of Zyrtec, which is available in Europe and Argentina, and it's supposed to launch in the U.S. next year under the name Xyzol. Here, the brand name I bought...

Ideas for a place to go?

I might drop by too. I like Milion a lot--I've never been to Mundo Bizarro. Another place I've been wanting to go to is Aca Bar; it looks like a pretty easy-going, down-to-earth kinda place. What time are you guys thinking of?

What happened to Girl's Sunday meetup?

Hi girls! I've had some family events to go to over the last couple of weekends and this weekend I have a lot of work to do, so I'm not sure I'll be able to make it for brunch. But if anyone wants to hang out on a Thursday or Friday (early evening), I'm up for it. Next weekend doesn't look very...

    Girl's Meet-up this Sunday

Hi. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this Sunday because I'll be visiting some relatives, but it was great meeting you last Sunday and I look forward to the next get-together :)

    Girl's Meet-up this Sunday

Both places sound good to me, but Olsen would be more convenient, so it gets my vote. I look forward to meeting all of you!
