    Fear of meeting

I don't know about social life in BA these days, but I was in Disneyland yesterday and it was packed. They save 50% capacity but I rubbed elbows with people everywhere, and at fireworks time, there was not an empty inch anywhere. Masks? Every now and then saw one. Viva la joda en California!

    A question about taxis

My understanding, based on conversations with taxi drivers, is that they prefer to announce the route they will take in delivering you, to avoid misunderstanding. They might also ask you if you have a preferred route to get to your destination. It's probable that's what he was doing, and you...

American Airlines cancelled my flight and booked me 18 days later. What to do?

It's a very difficult situation. Send a text to their whatsapp at +5491128897587. Good luck. It's thousands of people like you, so the solution does not appear simple.

American Airlines cancelled my flight and booked me 18 days later. What to do?

I flew from Ezeiza to Santa Cruz in early May and returned three weeks later. If you are not Argentine but American you will need a visa but that can be purchased on arrival. Borders may be closed coming in to Argentina but are they closed going out via land?

American Airlines cancelled my flight and booked me 18 days later. What to do?

Cholita: in your case, it may be easier to travel to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and board a Boliviana de Aviacion to Miami. Also, have you contacted AA via whatsapp? They were more efficient responding via this system than their phones in the USA. Their whatsapp is +5491128897587. Good...

American Airlines cancelled my flight and booked me 18 days later. What to do?

After my flight was cancelled, I went every day to the AA office on Avda. Santa Fe until I got rebooked and was able to depart from Argentina a week ago. You might want to do the same, but get an appointment first. Have your bags ready too, because they may give you a 24 hour notice.

30 minutes with migraciones just to leave Argentina!!!

I am in Ezeiza waiting to depart in about an hour. Sorry to hear about Fiscal’s problems. My wife and I breezed thru at 5 pm. Nobody was in line at immigration. The agent asked for our passports, stamped them, took out pics and That was it. Security was a breeze too, but they did ask casually...

    Rates for Electrician

I compare what it would cost me in California. There, Just for the house call it’s about $70 dollars plus the hour of work A good handy man $25 Dollars per hour, usually with a minimum of four hours. In caba, if it’s half those rates, I am happy, especially if they solved my problem.

    Schwab merging with TD Ameritrade

The TD Ameritrade's debit card charges ATM fees OUTSIDE the USA. Will that change after the merger? Who knows!

For expats with USD, any reason to get OSDE or other health insurance instead of just paying cash always?

I totally agree with all you have written, especially the bed side manners of doctors here vs. the USA's plus access to them. If you live here permanently, buy the insurance but if you have insurance in the States, and live here part time, is having an extra local insurance worth it? Now we...

President Sanchez of Spain Visits Bs. As.

Your question should be inmaterial. Unfortunately, the arrogance and racism shown by Fernandez is very prevalent in Argentina's upper social classes. It's sad and says much about people's low self esteem if they have to rely on historical genetics to feel special.
