    Extranjero DNI without Extranjero inscription?

I don't think they'll remove the extranero from it. The DNI can be used by citizens of Mercosur to move between countries without a passport. As it stands, i think only PRs of Argentina and Chile can move between nations without a passport. It would be strange to not have some sort of visual...

    Changing old $100 bills

I take the old bills back and swap them for crisp new ones. Banks in the US are obligated to take them. I've definitely seen some bills that are older than I am... And i'm no spring chicken.

Keeping US cell phone number for text & talk when moving there

Sure. Google says you gotta activate inside the USA. They may or may not let you activate. Or if you had a physical sim... you'd be a-ok. Pop that into a new phone.

Keeping US cell phone number for text & talk when moving there

I've been on Google Fi (with a physical Sim not an e-sim) since 2019. No issues. Unlimited data. I tend to return to the US every 6 months or so. I do recommend if you do google fi, get a physical sim, so you aren't married to your phone in case of say... your phone breaks.

How can I celebrate thanksgiving here?

I got a turkey from some farmer out in the middle of nowhere in the province i live in. It was aight. Not a farm raised bird you see in the US. Big, but not a ton of meat. My Argentinian family enjoyed the novelty.

    Banking question

The DNI is important, i wasn't able to be added to my wife's bank account until then. Cuotas sin interes over like months is free money. Argentine Customer support is garbage. I'd love to have bought my fridge with pesos. But i bought mine when Macri was around and Blue=Official so i just...

Maybe if you grew up in the most run down but least methhead parts of the Ozarks... suburban americans would just not understand the lifestyle well.

    How to get a DNI?

WELL, in Sede Central, the process is a literal dumpster fire. Lines for lines. I can't emphasize enough if you can do this process NOT in Buenos Aires, you should do it there. I bet this is super easy in Missiones. In Entre Rios however, they are quite pleasant if you're nice and patient and...

Concepcion has the migraciones office. They're pretty chill. I got in there a few times and managed to get what I needed in spite of my terrible Spanish.
