    Printing photos

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I found a place at Guemes and Armenia called Copifil that did a nice job with a couple of 5x7s.

    Getting out of BA?

I don't know anything about living in any of those places, but we were traveling up near Salta in November and it was MUCH cheaper than BA. We were eating well for not much money.

    Graffiti

The graffitimundo tour is great. Highly recommend (though I can't speak to the difference, having only done the Villa Crespo and Palermo one). Here's a story I wrote about the history of the BA graffiti scene (usually referred to more as "street art" than graffiti) for anyone looking for more...

    Soccer Fan has arrived

Thanks for the advice Mark. Do you have any thoughts on which teams/stadiums are the best to see, or does it not make that much difference? jpearl, did you get to any games yet?

    Printing photos

I'm looking for the same thing. I found another thread about really high quality printing, but I don't need anything that fancy. Just need to print a couple of 5x7s and 8x10s to hang at home. Would love to find someplace in Palermo. Anyone have suggestions?

    Wood photo frames

The kind they sell at the Recoleta fair. Very simple, wooden photo frames, sometimes with three strung together. Does anyone know of anyplace else I can get one, preferably not superfar from Palermo? (I'd like to find one before the weekend.) Thanks.

urgent: sending package to US with correo

They meant to, but they forgot it... It was packaged by a winery so it's packaged really well. But they didn't get any customs forms.

urgent: sending package to US with correo

Sorry for the urgent question. We're leaving tomorrow on vacation and two friends who were in town left a box of wine that they need shipped to them before we leave. So ... how do you send packages to the US? They just want Correo, not FedEx or anything, standard mail. Can I go to any Correo...

Powdered milk + other hiking foods

I'm headed down to Patagonia in a few days to do some hiking near Mount Fitz Roy and Torres del Paine. I haven't had to buy hiking food while here yet, so I have a couple of questions. Do they sell powdered milk in the grocery stores and what is it called? Does anyone know of any locations that...

    Personal vs Claro.

I'm very happy with my Clara unlimited data plan (and they didn't require me to have a DNI) but their cell service can be spotty, especially inside buildings. It doesn't work at all in my apartment for example.

Be My Friend? (Yikes that sounds pathetic)

I discovered recently that you can subscribe to a thread, under thread tools at the upper right. It helps a lot.

    El Calafate

I'm heading down to El Calafate (then onto El Chalten and Torres del Paine) in a few weeks and have been blogging about trip preparations, where to find the latest information, etc. If anyone's interested, my latest post is here...

Dealing with mail back home (US)

We use earthclass mail. Another piece of advice: a portable scanner. Makes it a lot easier to go (mostly) paperless.

Be My Friend? (Yikes that sounds pathetic)

Hi everyone, I'm an 26-year-old American who's been here for a few months and would love to meet more people. I'm planning to go to the Mexican Pop-up mentioned above, if anyone else wants to check it out. (And I'd be up for a night out sort of thing.)

Looking for a gynecologist, please help

Hi ladies, I have Medicus insurance and would like to make an appointment with a gynecologist (I've avoided going to any doctors since arriving here). I have a list from Medicus of doctors who speak English, but was hoping someone might have gone to someone who they can recommend (my Spanish is...
