Where can you buy milk so cheap? In my barrio the cheapest stinky sachet is $7.50! And larga vida is $9.00 or $10.00

    Import Bans Affecting Businesses

Today I went to collect a sander which had been dropped off for repair in January. When I called in April, it wasn't ready yet (!) The shop vendor told me that I was being given a new sander as there weren't any parts available to repair it due to import bans. Obviously I'm delighted to have a...

Brand New Ipad 4 Sealed In Box Only 100$ More Than In The Us

I was quoted 150 dollars to bring over something from US, so that seems a very fair mark up to me to. Btw, the expat air steward quoting that amount, knew it was to bring over a braille machine to donate to the blind, que verguenza! Thankfully a very kind baexpats member helped instead.

    Placenta Encapsulation And Midwifes

I don't think water births are allowed in Argentina. At least that's what my midwife told me in 2011. Her name is Olga Mauro, she works with the ob-gyn Dr. Lodeiro. They were very supportive about me giving birth at home though ultimately it wasn't possible for me. His consultorio details are -...

    Milk In Bsas

Another milk moan. I've tried buying the sachets (well within the sell-by date), but often when you snip the corner, a nasty gassy smell emerges and the milk just doesn't smell fresh. Anyone else have this problem?

    Milk In Bsas

Sorry, I don't believe the lack of fat theory. You can taste a certain powderiness in the skimmed milk which makes me think it's reconstituted. Like the dehydrated and reconstituted canned peas - tried them once, never again!!

David Cameron Called Stupid And Foolish By Argentine Uk Rep.

Well the pope should never have started opining about the malvinas, inflation, pizza et al. He should stick to more godly subjects.

    Packing For Short Term Assignment

Bring any food you can't do without. There's not much here apart from meat, bread, pasta, fruit and veg and you'll be cooking from scratch every day, maybe even making your own yogurt. My skinny husband loses several kilos more when we're here. Deodorants cost an arm and a leg and, haha, often...
