Hola BA - New in town!

Not as bad as Houston... Chicago & Lake Michigan in summer, IMHO, are a pleasure. Wish we have that lake and beaches instead of el Rio de la Plata...(Argentinean side)

    Need to buy fabric...

The place you are looking for is called "El Once". You could start walking, starting in Pueyrredon y Corrientes, heading to the River, I would say, up to Junin. There's a lot of stores in the crossing streets as well.

Doors Within Doors Open, Big Doors Closed - What Does It Mean?

Depending where you live, for security purposes, that is the way. If the fence (reja or cortina) is closed, but the other door is open and there's people /employees inside, just ask what you need or, maybe, if they trust you, they will let you in.

newcomer says hello & how about going fishing!

Lobos is a great lake to fish, specially, pejerrey, and the timing is perfect, not too cold. Pejerrey is a GREAT fish, very tricky to catch, but enjoyable. (if you like fishing and don't mind hours on a little boat waiting for them to get the bait-routine that I enjoy) Pejerrey's rods are very...

    Some information please

If you don't mind on living in the areas "on demand", the North part or Zona Norte of Buenos Aires is a good option, asuming you are close to public transportation. You can get, in San Isidro, a room in a house, shared bathroom and kitchen for AR$ 800/AR$1000 a month, all expenses included...
