    "che"

It's news to me that Che is used outside Argentina. Weird though, cause Spanish people conquered most of the continent, how come Che is only heard here. I don't buy it.

Get your SUBE Card Now, or Pay More for Transport

Can I do it without my passport? Will a copy suffice? Thing is, the person who is doing all the paperwork for my residence has my passport right now and she won't be back from vacation for a couple of weeks. Or can I do it with my 3 months residency document?

Argentinian Accent is it the best

I actually love most argentine accents. I do not know how to differentiate them. There's this guy at the office with the most annoying accent ever, but it's only his I can't stand. I have a few friends from Mendoza... I absolutely love how the talk. I'm always wanting to seat down and have...

    Teatro Ciego

I just went to the teatro ciego. It's Amazing! They put you in a dark dark room (you can't see a thing, they actually have to take you to your seat so you won't fall, trip or anything). There is no stage... it's like they're acting around you. They use a lot of sound effects and even smells! The...

    Healthy living group

Count me in! I thought it'd be best to adjust my diet now I'm in a different country with different food. See, I'm from Mexico and back home everything is fried and pork-sy, so I am now determined to do a 180º change.

Spicy stuff! I am suffering from the lack of salsa picante. Unless of course you're not mexican, in which case you'll be fine.

Is it all that bad? Please say it isn't!

On that note, I never got mugged of anything while living in Mexico City, I did get mugged in europe though. There's crime everywhere, just use your common sense when taking care of yourself (avoid jewelery, don't use your cellphone on the street, watch your surroundings every now and then)...

Is it all that bad? Please say it isn't!

Food is amazing, bars are amazing, beautiful buildings, beautiful people, cheap access to sporty stuff (gym, tennis, etc), to hospitals, culture. I have been here for three months and I'm lovin' it (yeah, I know it's too short, but c'mon I'm giving my opinion). Of course it had it's rough spots...

    Tennis Lessons

Hey everybody, does anyone know where to go for tennis lessons? I live in Recoleta and I want to take lessons on Saturdays... Probably could do week nights. I don't want it to be too far away.

Any body every use the rentinBA agency?

I was wondering, what's the agency's position on the subject of USD. They should know the law that bans the purchase of foreign currency and the law that bans long term rent contracts in USD... I just got in contact with them (I'm planning to move from where I am) and don't know how to handle...

    Gay men in Buenos Aires

I actually met a gay argentine guy back home. I met him through a friend. We work in the same company and now that I'm here in BA, he won't even say hi in the elevator. He was not a good looking argentine though.

    Exchanging Pesos for Dollars

So anyone bought dollars? I need to pay my rent (1 year rent). The landlady first demanded dollars, then she said she was able to withdraw dollars and I should pay her in pesos and now she is saying I should go to the black market. This is frustrating, I want to buy dollars from my argentine...
