Is it better to convert pesos to US dollars, pounds, or euros?

I'm not sure you said anything about money management. Yes, the locals I know prefer to hold dollars instead of pesos but even that is becoming risky. If you have a substantial sum of money to hold for many years then it's often a good idea to move away from pesos to another asset class. Be...

Poll: How good is your Spanish?

I'm fluent but it will be a lifelong journey for me, learned at LA UBA from scratch and still studying. My accent will always give me away but the kids speak like the natives. No me da bola. The different accents really crack me up, especially people from the interior... the folk from Pergamino...

I too have almost been charged the tourist fee so now I look after the kids while my wife buys the tickets. Imagine an entire family of 5.8 being mistakenly charged the tourist price.(which I don't agree with but thats another thread).

Steve, you crack me up with your moral elitism... I'm sure that bafinance is just trying to bait you into a response and is having fun at your expense. If you think back, can you be really sure that you haven't knowingly been a scofflaw at some time in your life?

Fine for overstaying the visa to be increased to 500$ soon

You raise an excellent point. Can anybody here put their hand on the immigration legislation regulations that legalises the current penalty arrangements? If migraciones doesn't have the authority to hit you for $ for overstaying your visa then that would be worth confirming. Investigator Steve...
