Landed in BA 3 days ago. I'm lost

Freaking cold? Really? That's a great sense of humor. Curious where you come from? Bariloche right now is 13C while BA is 16-22. So I'd say no. And nowhere in Argentina could be as cold as Minnesota. BA is fine, apply common sense and go where people go, you be fine. Try to speak Spanish as...

Tips for exploring Buenos Aires - from someone dating a local

I don't think it's AI written, becuase AI would do much better job. The writter most likely is an Argentine and English is her second language.

Tips for exploring Buenos Aires - from someone dating a local

Original Quote:"Obviously, I was not allowed near the fire pit in case I created some sort of imbalance that would ruin the spell of the asador (head chef, basically). " I can't follow what it says, sounds pretty strange. But probably someone bad at writting had no clue on what so ever, and AI...

Now does it means the Federal court has already given up their constitutional rights to process citizenship application? And now decree officially overide the constitution? I'm so confused.

    Import/customs fees for clothing?

That 3000USD scheme is misinterpreted, my package was valued around $100 dollar and I paid more taxes than the worth of goods. I believe that 3000USD cap is to facilitate something about 'easy processing scheme', with lelss bureaucracy when paying taxes, but not taxe free.

    Import/customs fees for clothing?

Back in May my friend sent me a small box of cloths, three pairs of shirt, one pair pants, and a pair of Nike sneakers via Fedex, and I paid upfront importation tax of 150,000 pesos, roughly at the time around 140 USD or so. Just buy cloth here, or maybe shopping in elsewhere when vacationing.

    Buying a House in Argentina

Well, maybe if someone buying an apartment around constitution or in Microcentro, I've seen as low as 25K to 30K, that might be more practical to gather 25-30K cash.

    Buying a House in Argentina

If it's 250K, just bring 10K each trip from home, in 25 trips you'd have the 250K hard cash in hands.

Using Discover Card in Buenos Aires

Discover is so difficult to use in Argentina, so far only found one Chinese pharmacy one Venezuelan restaurant in BA accept it. One of my visa credit card was cancelled by bank due to extensive abroad usage....when it just over six months.. The only credit card in practicality I have is capital...

Don't know where to look or find my friend @redpossum

Wow, if it's on everyday basis, I'd be very concerned for 11 days. Possiblely he was arrested or into an accident, or even sudden death. If he is a US citizen, report it to USDOS, and email or call the US embassy, they usually collaborate with local authority. If he is an Argentine or other...

Long Term Rental with Temporary Residence

There are some realtor working for expats mainly, and they usually only require one month of deposit, no Argentinian BS at all. Anyway, $1500 dollar for an apartment, it must be fancy, like a three bedroom.
