Looking for a 1 bedroom furnished apartment

Hey Ozgur! I do not recommend applying for the digital nomad visa, it is a poorly management program with little to no benefit - more of a gimmick. If you can get a tourist visa upon entry, I'd recommend doing that and renewing it within the country, or by exiting and re-entering at the 90-day mark.

Looking for a 1 bedroom furnished apartment

Dear Expat Community, I'm a 37-year-old Canadian digital nomad looking for a furnished 1-bedroom apartment in starting on May 1, ideally. I've been living in Buenos Aires for the last 6 months. I'm open to all kinds of areas in CABA, including but definitely not limited to Saavedra, Nuñez...

Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

On April 1, I experimented with using my Wise Visa card at Starbucks (I only carry Canadian/US/UY currency, no ARS account) and I got the MEP rate instantly, at the time of purchase. Waaay nicer experience than MasterCard's awkward overcharge/reimburse system. Keep in mind that the Canadian...

Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

I'm wondering about using my credit card down here, and if others have experience doing so over the long term? What I'm a little worried about it that if I use my Canadian credit card regularly in Argie for an extended period of time (say 1 year), is there a chance the card could be cancelled...

yeah I guess I'm more curious about how the border agents would react to someone showing up and saying they want to live here?

So pumped it worked out for you. I tried this in November (minus the CDI number) at Ciudad, Provincia, and Santander on Cabildo and they all insisted that I come back with no less than a CUIL. Thanks for posting!

Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

I'm curious about how Wise cards work here, since they work a little differently than your classic Visa. Anyone tried it?

Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

I contacted MasterCard and their standard rate is 2.5% for purchases made abroad. When asking about ARS, they redirected me to their currency exchange link on this thread, which still shows the official rate as of now. Looks like the central bank is also full of shit.

Refund issue with Colonia Express + Pago Facil + Mercado Pago

Thanks, bud! Update: They said they wouldn’t give me my money back but would “immediately” refund me in Colonia Club credit for another ferry ride. Days and emails later, no credit. I don’t use social media but I really wish I could blast them somehow. They’ve disabled Google reviews for obvious...

Refund issue with Colonia Express + Pago Facil + Mercado Pago

Hey all, Shot in the dark here, but maybe someone has experienced this before? I recently purchased a ticket from Colonia Express, which I paid in cash via Pago Facil on Sante Fe. It ended up being the wrong ticket, so I asked for a refund. Sounds simple enough, right? Instead of asking me...
