    Leaving BA, selling stuff

After 5 years in BA unfortunately I have to leave and need to sell some of my apartment things. Prices are in pesos, but I prefer equivalent dollars sent to my US account using Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. (free and easy) Items must be picked up by January 14, 2019 and are located in Nunez...

    Selling dollars

After Tomorrow I’m going to have about 10,000 pesos to exchange for dollars. I am happy to hand the pesos to anyone who would want to transfer the dollars into my US bank. Also happy to give a better rate than a cueva/bank. P.m. me if interested

    ABL Bill

I had the same problem last year. I had to go to Banco Ciudad and pay in person. You just have to find a lull during the week where the lines are shorter.

Ways to transfer dollars to bank account in US

In my book, the best way to get dollars into your bank in the US is give the pesos to someone who needs them here and have them transfer the dollars from their account to your account in the US.

Spain Nationality two year possible for me?

There are plenty of Koreans in Argentina. Many of the Chinos I have been to are owned and operated by Koreans, not Chinese.

    Graham crackers

Let me know what you think of the Quaker honey cracker crust. It’s what I used for New York cheesecake and it was pretty good. At one point I considered making my own graham crackers, but it just seemed like too much of a hassle.

    Graham crackers

Quaker “honey“ crackers are the closest I’ve found. There’s more of an oatmeal grain texture but it’s a pretty good substitute.

    Caveman diet

To be clear, I do not advocate the keto diet long-term. There is too much fat and protein which can be hard on kidneys and heart. I use it to take off the weight that I have stupidly gained over a period of time. It puts me back on track by taking carbohydrates out of the mix, which I tend to...

    Caveman diet

I started a no carb diet 11 days ago. My weight then was 66 kg at 173cm and my goal is 59 kg. In the first four days I was down 2 kg which I’m sure is due to water loss. I’ve done this before and it works great. My problem too was the high sugar high carb Argentine foods! When I lived in the...

Shoot out in the barrio q loco

Cue Texas in the 80s when I lived there. Huge percentage of pick ups with gun racks and rampant freeway shooting episodes.

    Help needed (Courier)

Tom, my daughter mailed me mine when it came. It was 10 days from Nebraska to here. Regular mail, no problem. Just like when she mails me my new credit cards.

Who buys up all these expensive properties?

Except for the last couple years when there were a limited number of mortgages available, all purchases are made in 100% cash.

How difficult is it to move a dog from the US to Argentina?

If you follow all the instructions precisely, you won’t have a problem bringing your dog to Argentina. Pay attention to breed restrictions, they don’t make exceptions for this. US info for moving dog to Argentina: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel/by-country/pettravel-argentina

Shipping A Dog Cargo Houston -> Ba

Since I’ve only flown my dogs with American Airlines as cargo, I can’t say why it’s different from another airline except for things I’ve heard. I flew them to BA in 2014. I chose American because they had a direct flight from Dallas to BA and I didn’t want my dogs to be in the air any longer...

New Policy at Starbucks, No Purchase necessary...

If you read my original response I said the same thing except that the extended shelflife milk is held at a higher temperature to kill all bacteria

New Policy at Starbucks, No Purchase necessary...

Well I guess you must be an expert in the dairy industry then. Please tell me how they are extending the life of shelf milk if they are not heating it at a higher temperature than refrigerated milk. It’s pretty standard in the dairy industry worldwide. You have to kill all the bacteria to put it...

New Policy at Starbucks, No Purchase necessary...

Well in my book the shelf milk doesn’t make great yogurt because it doesn’t set up as well because it is processed at a much higher temperature than refrigerated milk. That’s what I meant by ruin.
