Travelers will now need to show proof of health insurance to enter Argentina

IAWTP and will continue to AWTP until 12th October this year when the new entry requirements to the EU for people from third countries start to be implemented. Some people say that possession of an EHIC (now GHIC) will be sufficient to meet the new European health requirement but to the best of...

"Coming to Argentina more than twice a year" in times of Milei

180 days as @TimeTraveler said. You might want to write the actual dates down and study them visually to see that there are no accidental overlaps. I've made a crude slide rule out of cardboard to help with the rolling date calculations! Visiting friends and family is an absolutely okay thing...

A painting stolen by the Nazis reappeared in a house in Argentina

A follow-up article in the Guardian today explains, amongst other things, why European Art Detectives were looking at those Argentine property listings. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/sep/06/18th-century-portrait-stolen-by-nazis-recovered-in-argentina

Mailing Letters to US currently prohibited

That got me searching. Amazingly, Argentina seems to be in a possible majority of countries which still have a telegram service. Who knew that?

Argentina planned to ‘disappear’ hundreds of Britons on eve of Falklands War

No offence taken. I read as widely as possible and out of my comfort zone just so that I don't disappear down a rabbit hole of my own opinions. I call the Telegraph bellicose because they have a number of ex-military types who write for them and seem to find a great fascination in the minutea...

    Which Spanish course to enroll?

Personally, I would choose UBA, University of Buenos Aires. It's dependable, visible and the language school is fully accredited. What ever school you choose, if your citizenship is Emirati, make sure your course is fully recognised.

Warning - Do NOT get cheddar from Valenti

That shouldn't have happened to any cheese: that's bad storage, bad hygene or both and ought to be reported. The thing is that cheddar isn't a PDO cheese and can be made anywhere in the world with almost any variation in colour, quality and taste: cheddaring is just a cheese-making process used...

Argentina planned to ‘disappear’ hundreds of Britons on eve of Falklands War

From the bellicose Daily Telegraph, of course: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/08/31/argentina-plan-massacre-hundreds-britons-eve-falklands-war/ Archived version: https://archive.ph/OGqKH

    Pedidosya - Is it working?

Good for you. It's not just the commission you pay: restaurants and other outlets are having a hard enough time financially without losing up to 35% (the amount varies) in commission to a third party app. Some businesses still keep their delivery service in-house - we often see the familiar face...

    Buying an apartment in CABA

Or d)... ...You think they are working for you but in reality they are working for somebody else. This has happened within our family's experience and I understand it's not that uncommon.

    Buying an apartment in CABA

I agree with @nikad (I usually do!) Some years ago, I consulted a local lawyer, long since gone on to other things, who used to post here as @Attorney in BA and received the same advice as @nikad has just given you. I don't think they have changed such an important piece of legislation while...

A painting stolen by the Nazis reappeared in a house in Argentina

A very similar version of this story, in English, appeared in The Daily Telegraph yesterday: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/08/25/nazi-looted-art-discovered-80-years-real-estate-advert/ Archived version: https://archive.ph/J5bCs

Messi, Milei and Mickey Mouse are driving Argentina's tourists to United States

Isn't it all about identifying with a brand, these days? You wear Nike; you drive a BMW; you visit Disneyworld. Never mind the leggings chafe or the car is always breaking down or the rides aren't that good - it's your brand and you stand by it.

Messi, Milei and Mickey Mouse are driving Argentina's tourists to United States

There are a lot of Argentines who live in Miami. It wouldn't surprise me if every Argentine either knows or is related to an Argentine in Miami so they have a natural interest in finding out these things.

Applying for Family Reunification Visa with Argentine Girlfriend - Advice Please

I only replied about the Certificate because you mentioned it first. I don't think you would need it in order to live together (but ask somebody who knows for sure) but at the time I looked into it, it was necessary in order to marry.
