    Costa Rica?

Hey everyone, I am aware that this is _BA_ expats, but this is the most helpful expat forum I have found, so I am asking here :) Has anyone here been to/lived in Costa Rica, before/after being to/living in Buenos Aires? How did it compare? What does each lack that the other offered? Is it...

    What are my visa options?

I completely understand that, and I am grateful :) As far as my visa situation - I'm still hopeful that I find come across or otherwise invent an idea that will allow me to generate the required revenue needed for the passport. Question: If we are generating say, $1000/month - is that per...

    What are my visa options?

This will be the last response on the subject from me. We have gotten very far off-topic. I didn't ask if I should be moving to Argentina, I asked how. In response to you, syngirl: "with your last post you've revealed that you really can't learn it all on the internet" You just proved yourself...

    What are my visa options?

Because that's way too shady. I don't have any desire to get into the Country through a "back-door" - If they don't let me in, I wont come in. That said, I'm sure there are still options (other than accepting the live of a tourist, which isn't nearly as appealing as a resident)

    What are my visa options?

There's good and bad everywhere, such is the way of the world. Right now, I am doing research (and have been doing for a few weeks now) - I'm not one to jump into things without testing the waters first, but I'm also not one to be scared into inaction due to the "unknown." In the net-enabled...

    What are my visa options?

Thanks for your concern, Fishface. I'd still like to hear how others moved to Argentina while retaining their U.S. Job.

    That would be superb. :)

    What are my visa options?

If I am "he" then no - I'm not a freelancer. I work full-time for a company, but I work from home as a front-end web engineer.

    What are my visa options?

If I was a bachelor, I might be tempted to do this illegally (lie) - but I can't afford to mess this up with my family in tow. Thanks for the suggestions, though :)

Yes sir :( (Y lo siento, no, no hablo español - No se supone que es una "C" - es un juego de la palabra "valedictorian" en relación con estándares web)

    What are my visa options?

that's a good idea, but I don't own any property :) Have any other ideas, anyone?

    What are my visa options?

Alright, well can you give me any tips on what sort of investments people usually have that bring in $1000/month?

    What are my visa options?

I recently contacted ARCA, and they aren't being very helpful. They insist that I must be making $1,000/month from investments or my own business before I can go there. That's with the Financier Visa. I don't own my own business, though. I'm only 23, and I'm not planning on retiring (at least...

    Birth control pills

Do they have the NuvaRing in Argentina? That's what my wife used, and it didn't make her... ah... crazy, like the other birth control's did.

Citizenship of child born in Argentina from US Citizen Parents?

To be honest, I do think America has done some pretty aweful things, and the leadership is well... severely lacking. But if "BA Expats" is where you are getting your information on whether America is a good place or not, then it's not exactly bipartisan :) The people leaving America are...

Citizenship of child born in Argentina from US Citizen Parents?

Call it being old-fashioned. The U.S. might not be great right now, but there is still hope. Does anyone have a link to where it talks about this? All the sites I find say that the child automatically gets U.S. Citizenship if both parents are U.S. Citizens and have resided in the U.S. previously.

Need help - moving to BA with Kids

Hey there Anwar! I'm in the same boat as you (moving to BA next summer) and we have a 4 year old son. I don't have any advice for you yet - just wanted to say, "hi" :) If you decide on a school, it would be great if you posted it here!

Citizenship of child born in Argentina from US Citizen Parents?

Right, I meant the child. So to clarify: My wife and I are both U.S. Citizens, we go to Argentina and have baby. Baby is now U.S. Citizen and Argentina Citizen - is this correct?

Citizenship of child born in Argentina from US Citizen Parents?

I found a site that states this: A. Children born in Wedlock 1) Born to two U.S. citizen parents If either parent has resided in the United States prior to the birth of the child, the child acquires U.S. citizenship under the provisions of Section 301 (c) of the United States Immigration and...
