A Little Thing That Makes Me Crazy

This is a completely trivial expat rant, and I apologize in advance. I find it incredibly rude when I have engaged with someone in castellano, and even though they understand perfectly, they insist on switching to English. I've lived here on and off 2.5 years of the last 5. I speak 4...

    Megatlon - Updated Prices?

I checked out the prices today at Megatlon's Barrio Norte location. They are much higher than what I found at a comparable facility nearby which I ended up joining instead (see below)... but here are the rates for reference. These rates are for Classic and Classic Plus, and therefore exclude...

    Cost Of Living Update

Hi all, I apologize if this has already been discussed at length. I've been offline for a while. I lived in BA for two years up until exactly one year ago. I left to return to Canada and to live in Europe for a while. Now I have the urge to return again for a year or more. My questions: In...

Transferring funds from Argentina to Canada

A porteño friend is selling some of my stuff after I leave, and I am wondering how he will get the money to me. Does anyone have any suggestions, please? Western Union has these restrictions: Maximum send amount is 300 USD or local equivalent per person, per transaction, per month. All...

    Printing photos

There is a kiosk on the 3rd floor of Alto Palermo near the entrance to the big bookstore. The standard sizes for photo prints are different than North America. The closest thing to a 4x6" is slightly smaller at 10x15 cm. The attendant will print them for you on the spot.
